Social Studies 30-1

The Social 30-1  Diploma Prep offers a complete and thorough review of all course content.

Our program provides you with two days of face to face in-class instruction and review. Our knowledgeable and skilled professional instructors guide you through course key concepts, reviewing previous learning and providing test taking skills and tips that will provide you with a clear advantage on your diploma exam. This program will greatly enhance and clarify your understanding of diploma concepts and ensure you feel confident walking into the diploma exam.

Our Social Studies 30-1 diploma-prep program will cover the following areas:

  • The emergence of ideologies during the 1688-1918 era
  • Ideological developments since 1918
  • Fascism in Nazi Germany
  • Soviet Communisn and the Cold War
  • Contemporary political and economic systems

Greg Robinson


Greg Robinson is the Department Head of Social Studies at Strathcona High School. He has taught grade 12 social studies for more than twenty years. Greg has also served as an AP European History teacher, a curriculum coordinator for Advanced Placement programs, a social studies curriculum consultant for Alberta Education, and a public programs chief for the Alberta Historic Sites Service. In post-secondary studies, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree, a Bachelor of Education degree and a Masters degree in history.
